Want to throw a party outside, but afraid of the heat and not having shade? Not a problem, Rock Island County Forest Preserve District is proud to offer a number of different shelters to rent for your special events and parties.
Shelter Rentals at Illiniwek
Illiniwek has the perfect place for your next family reunion or company picnic. By renting the shelter you know that your party can go off without a hitch. Due to the new Great River/Mississippi River Trail adjacent to the road which was constructed in the spring of 2023, parking is limited and the shelter can no longer accommodated groups larger than 50 people.

Having a small family picnic or a celebration for the team? A shelter is available at Dorrance Forest Preserve on a first-come, first-served basis. No reservations are taken or necessary.
