Rock Island County Forest Preserve District to hold two public input sessions regarding District Parks

The Rock Island County Forest Preserve District will be holding two public input meetings for the citizens of Rock Island County to comment on the District's parks and amenities on Thursday, Sept. 14 and Tuesday, Sept. 26.

Parks and other amenities requesting input include:

  • Dorrance Park, 401 Agnes St, Port Byron, IL 61275
  • Illiniwek Forest Preserve, 836 State Ave, Hampton, IL 61256
  • Loud Thunder Forest Preserve, 19408 Loud Thunder Rd, Illinois City, IL 61259
  • Martin Conservation Area, Loud Thunder Road, Illinois City, IL 61259
  • Indian Bluff Golf Course, 6200 78th Ave, Milan, IL 61265
  • Niabi Zoo, 13010 Niabi Zoo Rd, Coal Valley, IL 61240

"Our parks belong to the people of Rock Island County," said Jeff Craver, Forest Preserve District director, "We value their suggestions and we're excited to collect their input as we make continued improvements to our facilities."

The first public input session will take place at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 14 at Niabi Zoo's Education Center, 13010 Niabi Zoo Road, Coal Valley, IL 61240. The second meeting will take place at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 26 at Indian Bluff Golf Course Clubhouse, 6200 78th Ave, Milan, IL 61264.
